Hanukkah Cookies

It's easy to make cookies for Hanukkah.

Hanukkah cookies are simple to make. All you need are some special cookie cutters, or you can make your own cutters using the patterns from this site. (The link to the .pdf file for the patterns is in the middle of the page, just after the 'Tools and Materials' list.) Trace the patterns onto cardboard. Cut them out, then carefully wrap the pattern in foil. Use the pattern to cut out the different shapes from Roll Out Butter Cookies.

Bake the cookies, then decorate using white and blue frostings. Paste or gel food coloring is better than liquid, by the way; you get a more intense color and don't dilute the frosting.

Happy Hanukkah!
