Brace yourself - you should be including chocolate in your diet! Dark chocolate (sorry, milk chocolate lovers) is good for you.

Have you heard the latest buzz about chocolate? If you eat dark or semisweet chocolate in moderation, about one ounce a day, you can improve your health! Chocolate contains flavanoids, a category of antioxidants, that help prevent cell damage that can lead to cancer and other chronic diseases. The type of fat in cocoa butter, stearic acid, doesn't raise cholesterol levels in your blood and it has the same effect on blood platelets as baby aspirin. Of course, moderation is the key here! One ounce of chocolate a day is the beneficial amount that will also help reduce cravings for more chocolate and sweets.
