Mother's Day has always been a special holiday. When I was young and living at home, my sisters and I always planned at least one meal for our mother. Breakfast on the four-season porch, with scrambled eggs, bacon, and some kind of coffeecake was always included.
Remember, Mom doesn't care if the food you make for her isn't perfect. It really is the thought that counts! If you take her out to brunch or dinner, then bring her home for a special dessert you have made yourself, the day will be special.
