Keith, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, and Maureen, a woman of Wall Street entered business together in 1987.
Loyal customers loved Maureen's decadent chocolate cake but could not order it for special occasions. Maureen took what she had learned from her recent cake decorating class and combined her legendary chocolate cake recipe and filled the little cakes with peanut butter to create a stuffed cupcake. A dessert that was originally formulated to show appreciation to loyal customers turned out to be one of the most innovative inventions for both customer and owner.
A favorite flavor combination of Keith, the chocolate and peanut butter amalgamation is just one of the 102 flavor offerings that are offered as part of the stuffed cupcake menu. For traditional flavors with a bit of a twist, 'Spice 'n Nice' offers a spiced cupcake filled with vanilla mousse and topped with vanilla icing and cinnamon. For something a little more adventurous try the French inspired 'Je Taime,' or 'I Love You,' a dark chocolate amaretto cupcake filled with strawberry mousse and topped with dark chocolate icing. For an even richer indulgence, several varieties of double stuffed cupcakes are available.

Customers wishing to order from The Petite Cafe can do so by calling 973-667-7778. All orders require 48 hour notice or a $10 surcharge is added. For cupcakes, there is a 50% deposit required on all orders over one dozen and for cakes there a 50% deposit.
