Make this fabulous pie with just five ingredients (plus chocolate jimmies!) and serve to company this weekend.
Next to ice cream pies, frozen mousse pies are my favorite. Actually, they're almost the same thing! But the texture of frozen mousse is richer than even the richest premium ice cream. And you can create your own flavors! For this pie, you could stir in some chocolate fudge ice cream topping just to marble. Or crush English toffee candy bars and fold those in. Or add chopped sweet cherries or frozen raspberries. There are really no limitations on the ingredients you can use in this recipe. Be sure that you use sweetened condensed milk in this recipe, not evaporated! Sweetened condensed milk is a special product, made by cooking milk, sugar, and butter together into a rich and thick consistency. Evaporated milk is just that - evaporated milk! So make a pie (or two!) and you'll always have a fabulous dessert on hand. Yum. Frozen Chocolate Mousse Pie
In large bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add condensed milk and beat until creamy. Beat in chocolate syrup until blended, then fold in whipped topping. Spoon mixture into pie crust, sprinkle with the chocolate jimmies, and freeze for 6-8 hours or until firm. When ready to eat, let pie stand in the fridge for about 30 minutes to make it easier to slice. Serves 8 Baking and Desserts Recipe Box
